Better Rehab's NDIS PBS clinicians

Better Rehab is able to provide NDIS positive behaviour support throughout Australia, with clinicians located in all major cities. We work with participants aged between 6 and 65, taking great care to involve family, carers, and/or support coordinators. At home or in one of our clinics, we’ll assess our participant's needs and form a plan for how we can assist.

Individualised therapy plans

Positive behaviour support is a person-centred intervention approach to behaviour that is focused on improving quality of life and reducing behaviours of concern. Our accredited PBS practitioners will work closely with the participant, the family, and any other carers or support coordinators to develop intervention plans and strategies that will allow the individual to live their best life.

Specialised PBS services

In most locations, our behaviour therapists can provide:

  • Functional behaviour assessment

    Our PBS practitioners can assess why participants behave the way they do by appraising physical and social environments and speaking to those who help and care for them.

  • Behaviour support plan

    Following assessment, our clinicians will create a behaviour support plan that summarises the supports needed to make changes within the environment, focusing on preventing, responding to, and managing challenging behaviours.

  • Reducing restrictive practices

    Our team aims to support individuals and those around them with identifying and reducing the use of restrictive practices.

  • Training and monitoring

    Our clinicians train and educate anyone involved with the participant - including family, carers, and staff - ensuring everyone helps manage the behaviours of concern.
