Look at that smile! Mayer is having a great time with his new manual wheelchair.
You wouldn’t be able to tell it from this photo, but prior to receiving his mobility aid, Mayer didn’t even want to get out of bed. But now he wakes up every morning with a huge smile on his face. With the help and support of his Occupational Therapist Emma, Mayer can now get out of bed and seize the day!
Before engaging with Better Rehab, he did not have access to appropriate equipment or therapy supports. Now he has his own self-propelled manual wheelchair, walking frame and activity chair. Regular training with Emma has also improved Mayer’s ability to transfer from the bed to his wheelchair, empowering him to move independently within his home and community.
