NDIS OT assistive technology
Our OTs help prescribe and set up assistive technology that help participants achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life.
Assistive technology suited to your needs
Assistive technology (AT) can help you perform everyday tasks with greater ease and enhance your social connectivity, however choosing the right AT device or equipment can be a challenge.
With strong knowledge of your goals and the assistive devices and equipment on the market, our OTs can recommend suitable AT solutions and organise a trial to give you the opportunity to ‘test drive’ them with their supervision and support. From electric wheelchairs and beds to specially designed kitchen gadgets and personal care aids, our OTs can show you how to use them safely and effectively and get the most out of them. They can also arrange for your chosen AT to be customised to better meet your needs or personal preferences.
Our team approach helps ensure your assistive tech success
Our OTs work closely with you and your support network to help you choose AT that will enhance your daily life and provide easy-to-follow instructions on how to operate it effectively and safely. Having this extra support can help you master your assistive technology quicker and ensure you get the most out of it.

The work we do with assistive tech is just one aspect of our multidisciplinary support
As a registered multidisciplinary NDIS allied health provider, we provide a wide variety of support services including occupational therapy, speech pathology, physiotherapy, exercise physiology and positive behaviour support. This means that in addition to OT support for assistive tech solutions, you can receive multidisciplinary support from qualified clinicians from our other allied health disciplines.
