Transitioning from university to full-time work can be both exciting and daunting, but Better Rehab is here to guide you! To ensure a smooth transition into working life, we have developed a coordinated, industry-leading Graduate Program to facilitate a positive transition from the classroom to the community. When you join our Graduate Program, you will commence your journey with a cohort of likeminded individuals to celebrate successes and face challenges together.
Our fun and structured Graduate Program runs for a duration of 6 months and has been designed to provide a practical and positive experience, with a focus on both your personal and professional growth. As a Graduate Clinician, you will be guided to meet the basics within each discipline’s clinical competencies and are expected to meet the basic criteria for all competencies upon completion of the program. Following the conclusion of the 6-month program, you will be promoted to the role of Practicing Clinician, where you will manage an independent caseload and continue to learn and develop in your role to help change the lives of hundreds of people.
When you join our Graduate Program, you will:
Experience two weeks of graduate-specific workshops, including a comprehensive introduction to community practice, the NDIS and life at Better Rehab. These workshops are led by members of our Leadership Team as well as guest presenters, and are held in a central location where you will meet other graduates in your cohort. Catering is provided, and we also cover all accommodation and travel costs for those who need it!
Be paired with an experienced Clinical Supervisor who will meet with you formally each week for the duration of the program to provide you with 1:1 clinical support and guide your internal and external professional development activities.
Be paired with an Operational Supervisor as well as a buddy within your home office to help you navigate all areas of working with Better Rehab and to answer any ad hoc questions that may arise.
Work within a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team with whom you will collaborate and learn from. In some cases, you will share participants with a clinician from another discipline and will work in partnership to promote a holistic approach to therapy.
Be provided with several opportunities to formally provide and receive feedback to confirm the program is meeting your needs and to ensure successful completion of the program.
Attend several team bonding activities, including charity events, end of financial year and Christmas parties, milestone celebrations and holiday celebrations such as Halloween and Easter.
