Meet Aravind! Aravind is one of our IT Consultants and has been with Better Rehab since 2018. Learn why Aravind is proud to be a Better Rehabber!
What made you decide to study IT?
My undergraduate degree was actually in electrical engineering, but I really like computers, and decided to study a Master’s in IT. I want to make people’s lives easier, and I think technology is a good medium to do that.
What is your favourite part about working for Better Rehab?
The best part is the culture. Even though we are a national organisation, I find it easy to reach out to anybody who I need to speak with. I also like that I am able to see the impact of the changes that we make within the IT department. It’s great to see how such changes help staff with their day-to-day work, and how it impacts the participants as well.
Can you think of a time recently that made you feel really proud to be working with Better Rehab?
It was amazing to see how we transitioned into a remote working environment. We have a really agile team and we are good communicators, and our clinicians are so dedicated to keep supporting the NDIS participants during these tough times. As a business, we are early adopters of technology and I think that helped us to make the shift as seamless as possible. Seeing Telehealth being adopted by the organisation and by our participants has been really inspiring and it has made me really proud to be working here.
What is something unique or interesting about you?
I love to swim, and that’s something that I am missing at the moment. All the pools are closed and the first thing that I would do once the lockdown is over is hit the outdoor pools at the beach.
