What made you study Physiotherapy?

When I was growing up I was always into sports and ended up injuring myself, which meant I went to my own Physiotherapist regularly. The joy my Physiotherapist gave me back to be able to play sports and continue doing what I loved was priceless. It gave me a very small insight into what being restricted was like. I knew I wanted to help people like my Physiotherapist helped me.

What is your favourite part about working with our participants?

The best thing about working with participants is learning from all their life experiences, building rapport and finding ways to make their goals happen. The joy I can bring to their lives is indescribable, whether it’s brought about by support as life-changing as helping them procure a breathing machine or helping them walk again, or something as simple as a recommendation.

Giorgia provides training on the Philips CoughAssist, which helps clear the airways by simulating a natural cough.

Can you think of a time recently that made you feel really proud to be working with Better Rehab?

Better Rehab is a company that cares about its employees, and even more about delivering a high standard of care to participants. Since working at Better Rehab, I have dealt with some challenging situations; however, due to the supportive environment I was able to help a participant get the gold standard of care which improved their quality of life tremendously. Looking back, this made me so proud that I was given the opportunity to help and change someone’s life, as the appreciation I received was something I will cherish forever.

What is something unique or interesting about you?

My family are from a Greek heritage, and in fact are from a village as north as you can get in Greece.

I have a beautiful rescue dog named Olive, who was named after my favourite food – olives!
