Helping family and carers through Positive Behaviour Support

Our Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner Monique talks about how PBS can help you and your family.

Positive Behaviour Support or PBS is a person-centred approach to behaviour that is focused on improving quality of life and reducing behaviours of concern. This approach can help not only our participants but their family, carers and support networks as well.

Let’s listen to one of our PBS practitioners, Monique, talk about how this can be done using PBS strategies!

Transcript:

Hi everyone, my name is Monique and I’m the National Clinical Lead for the Positive Behaviour Support and Psychology Team here at Better Rehab.

Today, I want to talk to you about how we can help not only our participants but their loved ones as well.

A PBS practitioner at Better Rehab can help you and your family with strategies such as implementing environmental adaptations to support you, providing support with how to respond to behaviours of concern and facilitating consistency within the home environment.

If you want to know more about these strategies, please reach out to the Better Rehab team, and they will connect you with a PBS practitioner near you.

Speak to you soon!

End of transcript.
