Third time’s the charm!
Rohan desperately needed support to access the community and take care of his family, and submitted applications to be considered for NDIS supports. After years of trying and two rejected applications, Rohan and his wife Lana decided they needed help and reached out to Better Rehab.
They worked closely with Occupational Therapist Emily to put together a third application for the NDIS. Emily completed a detailed functional capacity assessment, and after only two months Rohan was approved for his first plan!
With this support in place, he aims to take a more active role in caring for his four daughters and to participate more fully in the activities that matter to him, such as fishing and attending sporting games. He also plans to explore assistive technology options to increase his active participation in daily tasks.
Lana is over the moon with this outcome. She says to Emily, “You are changing lives and you have helped change ours.”
