Hrvoje’s strength comes back after a car accident

After a right leg amputation due to a car accident, Hrvoje has had issues sourcing an appropriate wheelchair for his needs. Thankfully, with the help of the team at Better Rehab, Hrvoje is living a more purposeful life and is able to get out and about again!

Before connecting with Better Rehab, Hrvoje was not provided with the appropriate assistive technology suited for his needs and lifestyle. As a result of this, he was at risk of injury and was unable to enjoy his daily life.

However, things are looking up for Hrvoje as he has finally received a new wheelchair that is perfect for his mobility needs, all thanks to Better Rehab’s Occupational Therapist, Joyce! Joyce and Hrvoje completed many assessments and trials together to ensure that Hrvoje was supplied with the correct wheelchair that would give him more independence and be safe for his needs.

Since receiving his new wheelchair, Hrvoje has been able to independently access the community without any risk of injury and his quality of life has significantly improved. His dream is to travel around Australia and then to Croatia to visit his family, which is closer to becoming a reality now!
