Better Rehab’s QLD State Manager Takes Home The Win!

It’s been an exciting week for the Better Rehab team! Jessica Nosworthy, our QLD State Manager has won the Leadership Award at Developing Australian Communities Disability Staff Recognition Awards Gala!

The Disability Staff Recognition Awards Gala Dinner

The purpose of the gala is to raise awareness for the great work that Allied Health providers and staff do within the sector, whilst also raising vital funds to support the development of the charity’s objectives.

Nominations were open to anyone from within the disability sector, and winners were chosen by a special committee.

Our worthy awardee – Jessica Nosworthy

Jessica joined Better Rehab in July 2018 and started as a Senior OT and a team leader. After only two months of consistent and exemplary work, Jessica became the State Manager of our QLD team.

When asked about her thoughts on winning the award she proudly and humbly said, ‘Despite what many people think, you don’t really go into leadership to receive praise and recognition, it is far more satisfying for me as a leader to see my team members be recognised for the amazing work that they do with their participants day in day out – they are the ones out there changing lives.’

Being the enthusiastic and passionate leader that she is, Jessica looks forward to supporting Better Rehab by continuously guiding her team in delivering the best possible care and outcomes to their participants.

These awards and recognitions don’t only acknowledge the hard work that our clinicians, staff, and leaders do, but most of all, these clearly show that we like, we know, and we love what we do.

Well done, Jessica! Congratulations!
