Assistive tech success for Scott

Scott can now eat independently with the Obi-Feeder!

Scott wants him and his wife to enjoy a meal together, but due to the weakness in his arms (flail arm syndrome) related to his diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease, he needs assistance with eating and other activities.

With the help of his Occupational Therapist Ashleigh, Scott trialled an Obi-Feeder that allows him to operate a robotic arm using switches placed at his feet. Now Scott can eat independently and share a wonderful dinner with the love of his life!

Moving forward, Ashleigh and Scott will continue working together on his ongoing assistive tech prescription to maintain his safety and as much independence as possible.
